These terms govern your use of plumbernewarkde.com and set out how we operate when you engage Newark Plumbing Co for plumbing work. Using this site means you accept them.

1. Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. You may not use it to transmit anything unlawful, to attempt to gain unauthorised access, to scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, or to submit false enquiries.

The content of this site — text, layout, graphics and code — belongs to Newark Plumbing Co. You are welcome to read it, share links to it, and quote short passages with attribution. Republishing substantial portions as your own is not permitted.

2. Information on this site is general

The guidance on this website describes how plumbing systems commonly behave in Newark and the surrounding area. It is written carefully and kept accurate, but it cannot diagnose your specific situation. Every property is different, and a page cannot see your pipe.

Do not rely on this site in place of an inspection by a qualified plumber, particularly where gas, sewage, structural elements or electrical proximity are involved. See our disclaimer for more.

3. Contacting us is not a contract

Submitting the contact form or calling us starts a conversation. It does not create a binding agreement, guarantee availability, or commit either of us to anything.

A job becomes an agreement when we have attended, diagnosed the problem, quoted a price, and you have accepted that price.

4. Quotes and pricing

We do not give firm prices over the telephone. Any figure mentioned before an on-site diagnosis is an indication of the likely range, not a quote, and it is described as such at the time.

The pricing page publishes typical cost ranges for this area so you have a reference point. Those are ranges, not offers, and your job may fall outside them.

Once we have diagnosed the problem:

• You receive a price for the work before it begins.
• That price stands for the scope described.
• If we find something that changes the scope, we stop and tell you before continuing. You decide whether to proceed.
• Diagnostic and call-out charges are stated before we attend, including any after-hours premium.

Concealed conditions are a genuine feature of plumbing work. Opening a wall can reveal corrosion, previous unpermitted work, or damage that was not visible beforehand. We will not pretend to have foreseen it, and we will not proceed past the agreed scope without your say-so.

5. Scheduling and access

We give arrival windows rather than exact times, because plumbing jobs do not run to fixed durations. We will call before we set off, and if the schedule slips you will hear it from us.

You are responsible for providing safe access to the work area, for securing pets, and for telling us about known hazards — asbestos-containing materials, structural problems, or previous unpermitted work. If access is not available when we arrive as arranged, a call-out charge may apply.

6. Permits and inspections

Plumbing work in Newark generally requires a permit, and inspection is carried out by a State of Delaware Plumbing Inspector. Work across the state line in Maryland falls under a different authority.

Where a permit is required we will say so, and the cost and the schedule impact will be included in the quote. Inspection timing is set by the authority rather than by us, and concealed work must remain accessible until it passes. We will not close up work ahead of a required inspection.

7. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. For larger projects we may agree a schedule of payments in advance.

Materials and equipment remain our property until paid for in full. We do not store full payment card details.

8. Warranty

Warranty terms are provided in writing with your quote and invoice for the specific work carried out. Ask us before the job starts if you want to know the terms in advance — it is a reasonable question and we will answer it plainly.

Any workmanship warranty covers our work. It does not cover:

• Failure of adjacent components we did not install or were not engaged to replace
• Damage from freezing, misuse, accident, or work carried out by others afterwards
• Normal wear on consumable parts
• Problems arising from a pre-existing condition you were told about and chose not to address

Manufacturer warranties on equipment are provided by the manufacturer on their own terms, and we will pass through the documentation.

That fourth exclusion matters in older properties. If we tell you a repair on badly corroded pipe is unlikely to hold and recommend replacement, and you choose the repair, we will carry it out — but the recommendation and your decision will be recorded, and the repair is warranted as a repair rather than as a solution to the underlying condition.

9. Cancellation

Tell us as early as you reasonably can if you need to cancel or reschedule. For scheduled work we ask for as much notice as possible. Where materials have already been ordered specifically for your job, those costs may be payable.

10. Liability

We carry out work with reasonable skill and care. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our liability in connection with any job is limited to the amount paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost income or lost business.

11. Complaints

If something is wrong, tell us first and give us the opportunity to put it right. Call (302) 412-1353 and explain what happened. Most problems are resolved faster in a conversation than through any other route.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Where work is carried out in Maryland, the applicable code and permitting requirements of that jurisdiction apply to the work itself.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force for your job is the one published when the work was agreed. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
