Every job on this page follows the same sequence: find the cause, price the fix, agree the price, then do the work. We do not quote before diagnosing, because a number given before the diagnosis is a guess — and guesses only ever get revised upward once the wall is open.
Where Newark differs from a generic service area is in what we expect to find. Pre-1960s housing near the University of Delaware and the downtown core runs cast iron drains and galvanized supply, both of which corrode from the inside. Newer construction toward Bear, Glasgow and Middletown fails differently — builder-grade fixtures and valves at end of life. North and west toward Hockessin and Pike Creek, private wells and septic systems change the job entirely. We check which of those we are dealing with before we touch anything.
That sequence never changes, and the reasoning behind it — along with the work we decline — is set out in how we work.
All of the above is available throughout Newark and the surrounding New Castle County communities, plus nearby Cecil County, Maryland. See the full service area list, or jump to the community pages for Bear, Glasgow, Christiana, Pike Creek, Hockessin, Wilmington, Middletown, Elkton, .
Emergency plumbing, drain cleaning and hydro jetting, water heater repair and replacement, sewer line repair and replacement, water leak detection, whole-home repiping, sump pump installation and repair, and water treatment with well pump service.
That covers residential and light commercial work. If it carries water, waste or gas, it is on the list.
Light commercial, yes — particularly in the Christiana corridor where food service, retail and medical tenancies are concentrated. That work includes grease interceptor sizing and maintenance, backflow prevention, and tenant fit-out coordination.
Commercial work is scheduled outside trading hours by default, because shutting water to a restaurant at lunchtime costs the tenant far more than the plumbing does.
Yes. A significant part of our service area — Hockessin, Pike Creek, the rural edges of New Castle County and across into Cecil County, Maryland — is on private wells and septic rather than public supply.
That is a different trade from city plumbing: submersible pumps, pressure tanks, water treatment sized from an actual lab result, and drain practice that will not destroy a septic field. Most plumbing companies serving this region are set up only for city water and sewer.
